This was my first experience of buying a property and has been a very pleasant experience. From the viewing arrangements through till the offer stage HS Estates had been very supportive, clear and provided a fair and transparent service.

We appointed HS Estates in April 2015 to sell our bungalow - a property which we had owned since 1978, although it had been let for the past few years. The initial valuation was, in our view, understated, but after discussion this was increased to the eventual sale price. An immediate buyer was found, but unfortunately this fell through after 6 weeks or so, as the buyer couldn’t sell their property. Within a week, an alternative buyer was identified, who offered the asking price. There was a confusing couple of weeks where some communication difficulties delayed matters, but the sale went through in early November. HS Estates have a good team in place, with logical split functions - Daniel on the sales process, identifying possible buyers, and Lee managing the legal side, chasing solicitors and buyers to follow through to a successful sale. I would mention that as soon as Lee came on board, we were kept continually in the process. As a seller, all you want to do is complete the sale as quickly as possible. Practical implications of property sales mean that this process can be protracted, but the team, specifically Lee, at HS Estates diarised and chased effectively, and saw things through to a completed sale. Our thanks for all your help.

We as a family have been looking to buy our first property for the last four years. We have met and used various estate agents in the process. Things changed when we met the people at HS Estates. We straight away knew that here was the estate agents who was genuine and was going to enable us to find our first home.

Fran and her team at HS Estates kept us posted about the various properties which were coming on the market. They arranged viewing for us at our convenience. Unlike other estate agents there was no double booking or mass bookings done with our viewings. We were given enough time to view the properties and were not rushed into viewing any of the properties. We viewed the property 4 times before we could make an official offer. Never were we pressurised to make an offer or pushed into buying any house. Once our offer was accepted Fran mentioned to us to just check with the independent mortgage advisor at HS to see if he can offer any better deals. As first time buyers we were apprehensive and worried at times til completion, but the staff at HS Estates were always reassuring. They were very prompt to return our calls and answer our numerous queries.

We had a mortgage in principle with Halifax and thought we had a very good deal with Halifax. When we spoke to Andy, he said that the deal we had in place was very expensive and that he was able to find a cheaper alternative for us. He found a deal for us with Santander. A couple of days before the exchange of contract were due, Andy called me to inform that Santander has further dropped their rates of interest and we were able to get an even better deal with Santander. This would not have been possible but for Andy’s alertness in following the market and willingness to help.

In the days of fast foods, fast cars and estate agents trying to make money through quick sales, we as a family found HS Estates kind, honest, consider to our requests, straightforward, easy to deal with, non-compelling and very accommodating. We will strongly recommend HS Estates for all happy, stress free buying, selling and renting of properties and Andy their mortgage advisor for advice and arrangement of mortgage. They not only specialise in real estate but also specialise in relationship building.

People often say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do…..how grateful we are that the property we bought was marketed with Housesale. However, I could not fault anything about the service that Andy & Fran provided to my wife and I in the sale of our property in South Ockendon.

From the very start they were very friendly and helpful and provided an excellent description of our home and took great pictures to help sell the property.

We were kept up to date with information on how many people had looked at our property online on a frequent basis and communication throughout the sale was fantastic.

I can honestly say that during the sale of the property I could fully trust Fran and Andy with our dealings and I know that had it not been for their efforts, the sale of the property may not have happened. I am happy to write this testimonial for Fran and Andy.

At first I was unsure about using an Estate Agent that wasn’t familiar with the area, but it quickly became apparent that they had successfully sold other houses in Redbridge, were familiar with the selling points (local schools, etc) and had already achieved a reputation of excellence.

Fran visited to take details and view the house and was very personable, but most of all professional. The house was marketed via the internet and had a potential buyer within the first week! At all times I was kept abreast of developments and this proved to be essential as, in a time of credit squeeze, the right mortgage for our buyer proved to be problematic.

I can honestly say that without the friendly contact and professional advice from Fran and Andy and their staff the sale could have proved a nightmare . Obviously, the low fee charged is an important part of the excellent package offered.

On the whole, I think that this must be the way that people will sell/buy in the future – and if all the Managers are as efficient and friendly as Fran and Andy, I am sure success will always follow.
